Why Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is the ability to focus on the present by bringing attention to our body - and it’s crucial for results. By calming down our minds we can control our eating patterns and reach peak performance during our workouts.
This should be something you practice daily. Most find it super easy to start with an app that will help you do so. Here are some of my favorites:

Ask yourself, "Am I hungry or bored?"
Sit down and eliminate distractions (TV, phone, etc)
Drink a glass of water
Eat slowly, taking sips of water between bites
Chew thoroughly and taste your food
Stop eating when you're full

Create / review your game plan before you step in the gym
Eliminate distractions (calls, text, TV, etc)
Throw on an awesome workout playlist
Warm-up the muscles you’re using that day
Slow down and focus on proper form (before you move fast)
Breathe through your stomach
Feel the muscles being worked
